Bake Planner – Privacy Policy (60-Day Free Beta)

Last updated: October 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Bake Planner (“we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your
information during the 60-day free beta period.
By signing up for or using Bake Planner during the beta, you agree to this policy.

Overview

Bake Planner is in beta testing. During this stage we collect limited personal and business information to manage your beta access, gather feedback, and improve the app before launch.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data in line with UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.

Information We Collect

We may collect the following information during the beta:

  • Tester details: name, email address, and business name (if provided).

  • Usage data: general app activity, feedback, and bug reports.

  • Customer data entered by testers: any information you add about your own customers (e.g.,names, contact details, orders).

How We Use the Information

We use this data to:

  • Provide access to the Bake Planner beta.

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the app.

  • Communicate with testers about updates, bugs, and feedback.

  • Ensure system security and performance.

We do not sell or share your information for marketing purposes.

Customer Data Entered by Testers

If you add real customer information while testing Bake Planner, you remain the data controller for that data.
Bake Planner acts only as your data processor, meaning we handle and store the data on your behalf.

We will:

  • Process your data only as necessary to provide the beta service.

  • Not access, view, or use your customer data except to support the app’s technical operation.

  • Store it securely using encrypted cloud services (via Glide).

  • Delete all beta data once the test ends or if you request deletion earlier.

Data Storage and Security

All data is securely stored in encrypted cloud environments provided by Glide and associated services.
We use standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure.
However, as this is a beta version, no system can guarantee complete security.

How Long We Keep Data

  • Tester account data is retained for the duration of the beta and deleted once the programme ends.

  • Customer data entered by testers will be deleted at the end of the beta or upon your written
    request.

  • Feedback and general usage statistics may be retained in anonymised form to improve the
    product.

Sharing Your Data

We may share limited data only with trusted third-party tools that help us operate the beta, such as:

  • Glide – for app hosting and database management.

  • MailerLite – for sign-up forms and email communication.

  • Stripe / Square – if payment testing is enabled (only transaction metadata, not card details).

All such providers are bound by their own privacy and data protection terms compliant with UK GDPR.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.

  • Request correction or deletion of your data.

  • Withdraw from the beta at any time.

  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your rights are violated.

To exercise these rights, email us at hello@bakeplanner.com.

Cookies and Analytics

The beta version of Bake Planner does not currently use cookies or tracking for marketing purposes.
If analytics or cookies are added later, this policy will be updated, and consent will be requested where required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as we improve Bake Planner. Any major changes will be announced to all beta testers via email or in-app notice.
